Checking Computer Clock with COAA Server

If you are experiencing no data upload or download to a shipplotter server then it would be useful to compare your clock with the COAA server to see what is happening. Even if you are not going to share with COAA anyway.

  Downloading SPuser.exe

You will need to login to the shipplotter yahoo user group. In the files section you will need to download the SPuser.exe.

  Connecting to the COAA server

Then you will need to connect to the COAA server for say 5 minutes. You will need to put the following settings.

So you will choose Options / Sharing / Server

Then you will make your settings for Server 1 like the above.

Then you will enable sharing with Options / Sharing / Enable

  Check it is connecting ok

If it is working ok then you will seee "Sharing download 1 done" at the bottom left of shipplotter.

  Running the SPuser.exe

So wait for some minutes for sharing to continue and then you can run the SPuser.exe

The output will be like the above and you can check to see the Clock err which is very important. It should be something like 1-10 and not 100+ etc. If it is too big then your time synchronisation is bad and sharing to a shipplotter server will not work until you fix it and this is the reason why your Uploaded Ships and Downloaded Ships will be zero.
